WorldEdit (32,000 Block Limit)
You get a significant upgrade to the maximum operation size you can perform with WorldEdit. To be exact, 32,768 blocks compared to the 5,000 block maximum you get for free.
Resource Packs
You can make players download a custom resource pack when they join your world.
The Command
The /resourcepack command is granted to anyone with admin permissions in a world owned by someone with this rank. Even if your friend doesn't have a rank, they can still use the command in your world if they have permissions.
The commands are: /resourcepack get:
Show the link and SHA-1 hash in chat.
/resourcepack set <hash> <download-url>:
For now, the only accepted host for the download URL is https://mc-packs.net. They (extremely generously) provide free resource pack hosting, along with generating the SHA-1 hash for your convenience. Just upload your pack, get the hash and the link, and run the /resourcepack set command. All players in the world will automatically have their pack updated.
P.S. Please consider dropping mc-packs a few $$$ for what they do! There's a link on the site. Other hosts will be added in the future based on community demand, so that we don't overwhelm an awesome free service.
/resourcepack clear:
Remove the resource pack from the world. This will clear the resource pack from all players currently in the world as well.
Why are resource packs restricted to people with ranks?
Our philosophy is that everything that is a vanilla feature should stay free for all users. Resource packs are the one exception to this, and there is a very good reason why. Allowing anyone with a Minecraft account to send custom resource packs is, to put it bluntly, a moderation nightmare.
We need some way to prevent people from uploading bad things. Part of this is not allowing people to host files on their own domains (to prevent IP grabbing), but a large part is also who is allowed to upload resource packs. We don't want to make moderators manually approve every resource pack, and we don't want to let just anyone with an account send images and other files with no verification. The simplest solution then, is just to put resource packs in the lowest paid tier. Raising the barrier-to-entry for trolls should help keep the server safer for everyone. We hope you understand that this decision is much more a logistical and safety one, than a marketing one. The corporate greed will come later (JOKE).
